Once you receive your GVC certificate from us, the next step is to submit an application to the CAA for your Operational Authorisation. We will provide you with comprehensive instructions on how to complete the application and what information should be included.
Please note that you will be unable to operate under the Specific Category until your Operational Authorisation is granted.
The GVC is being phased out
The CAA will stop issuing new GVCs on 31 December 2027, and the RPC-L1 is replacing it as the baseline qualification for Specific Category VLOS operations. Existing GVCs remain valid until they expire.
