1. How long is the warranty period for Flyability products?
The warranty period depends on the package you bought. For the Elios 3, Light and Premium packages are covered for 12 months from activation or 18 months from delivery, whichever comes first. Enterprise packages are covered for 24 months from activation or 30 months from delivery, whichever comes first.
If the drone is first used more than six months after delivery, the warranty period is reduced. If you are not sure which package you hold, contact us and we will confirm it for you.
2. What does the Flyability warranty cover?
The Flyability warranty covers manufacturing defects and malfunctions that occur during normal use of the product. It includes repair or replacement of faulty parts or the entire product, at Flyability's discretion.
Covered components include the motors (up to 50 flight hours), the battery (12 months or 50 charge cycles, whichever comes first), the camera servo, the carbon inner frame, the battery charger and the range extender.
Propellers, cage elements and cable ties are not covered.
3. Are there any conditions I need to meet to keep the warranty valid?
Yes. Flyability require the drone to have been flown by a pilot who has successfully completed the Elios 3 Introductory Training, and to have been used and maintained in line with their specifications. Damage caused by improper use or inadequate maintenance is not covered.
If nobody in your team has completed the introductory training yet, please speak to us before flying. We can arrange it.
4. Are accidental damages covered under the Flyability warranty?
No, accidental damages, such as crashes or water damage, are not covered under the standard warranty. Flyability offer optional warranty extensions and service packages that provide wider cover.
5. How do I claim warranty service for my Flyability product?
If you bought your Elios from Coptrz, please contact us by email or phone and we will handle the claim with Flyability for you. You will need your proof of purchase and details of the issue.
6. Can I have my Flyability product repaired or serviced by a third-party provider without voiding the warranty?
Flyability recommend having repairs or services performed by authorised Flyability service centres or technicians. Unauthorised repairs or modifications can void the warranty.
7. What happens if my Flyability product is out of warranty?
If your Flyability product is out of warranty, you can still seek repair services from Coptrz or Flyability, but it will be at your own expense.
8. Is the Flyability warranty transferable if I sell or transfer ownership of the product?
Flyability's published warranty terms do not confirm that cover transfers to a new owner. If you are buying or selling a used Elios, please contact us before the sale so we can check what cover remains and whether it can be transferred.
9. Does the Flyability warranty cover software-related issues?
Yes, the Flyability warranty covers software-related issues that affect the product's performance or functionality.
10. What actions could void the warranty for my Flyability product?
Actions that could void the warranty include unauthorised repairs or modifications, flying without having completed the required Elios 3 Introductory Training, failing to maintain the aircraft to Flyability's specifications, using the product in a manner not intended by Flyability, and not following safety guidelines and regulations.
