A Flyer ID and an Operator ID serve different purposes.
Flyer ID
The Flyer ID shows that a remote pilot has passed the CAA’s online theory test. The test is free and the Flyer ID is valid for five years.
Operator ID
The Operator ID is for the person or organisation responsible for the drone or model aircraft. It is renewed annually and the CAA charges a registration fee.
