SkySync

What SkySync does, and how it supports GVC, RPC and UK SORA compliance.

SkySync brings together the tools you need to run safe and professional drone missions. Plan flights in minutes with live airspace and ground intelligence, track drones, batteries and pilot certifications with ease, and never miss a maintenance deadline again. Built-in workflows cover risk assessments, incident history, audit trails and flight logs, helping teams stay compliant under pressure while improving safety standards.

Trusted by more than 2,400 pilots across 650+ organisations in industries such as surveying, agriculture, utilities and public safety, SkySync is designed to scale with you. Whether you are a solo operator or managing multi-region enterprise teams, it cuts planning admin by over 50%, provides full visibility of assets and pilots, and creates a reliable foundation for growth.

What it does

Compliance by design

  • Automated airspace, NOTAM, weather and hazard checks using current aviation and operational data sources

  • Built-in CAA-aligned checklists, RAMS and risk assessments for every mission

  • Full audit trails of flights, pilot credentials and maintenance history

Safety embedded in the workflow

  • Environmental, population density and hazard data for SORA-based and GVC-level planning

  • Alerts for airspace conflicts, weather risks and overdue maintenance

Maintenance and airworthiness

  • Full service history, part replacements and inspections tracked for every asset

  • Automated service reminders and an "out of service" status to prevent unsafe deployments

  • Evidence-based maintenance logs ready for audit, proving ongoing airworthiness

Why it matters for your qualification

GVC

GVC holders must operate to the procedures set out in their Operations Manual, including defined maintenance intervals and record-keeping. CAA inspectors may request proof of compliance with maintenance schedules at any time. SkySync automates service interval reminders, logs every maintenance action and flags when equipment is out of service, so those requirements are met without manual tracking.

RPC-L1, L2 and L3

Higher certificate levels mean operating in higher-risk environments, where more stringent mitigations are required to prevent in-flight failure. A lapse in maintenance could increase the likelihood of a technical incident and breach the OSOs covering technical containment, safety assurance and system robustness. SkySync gives you evidence-based preventative maintenance, reducing the chance of grounding a mission with an unserviceable aircraft.

UK SORA

Under SORA you must demonstrate that technical mitigations, including the reliability of the aircraft, are in place and maintained. Regular documented maintenance reduces the risk of technical failure and supports M2 (ground risk mitigation) and OSO #5 (UAS technical design).
